A Fairfax County, Virginia fire engine was stolen early this (Monday) morning from a shop just off of I-66 in Prince William County. It was recovered later in the morning in the Luray, Virginia area (Page County). No official word on arrests. The pictures on this page show the recovered fire engine. Engine 421, a 2012 Pierce Velocity from the Fair Oaks Station, was at Atlantic Emergency Solutions when it was stolen. A law enforcement alert indicated the rig was likely stolen around 1:00 am. The suspect was taken into custody when he drove past officers on Luray and Wallace Avenue. One male is in custody from Spotsylvania County for possession of stolen property. He has not been identified at this time.
