ENGINE DRAGS HOSELOAD EN ROUTE TO CALL – NORTH CAROLINA

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Dashcam video shared with WWAY shows a hose dragging behind a firetruck as it responded to a call in Wilmington Tuesday afternoon.

Wilmington Fire Department Spokeswoman Rebekah Thurston said it happened near Shipyard Boulevard and Carolina Beach Road around 1:45 Tuesday afternoon.

Thurston said Engine 7 was responding to a structure fire when the crosslay for hose came loose. She said the hose fell out and hit eight vehicles.

Thurston said no injuries were reported. Owners of five of the vehicles remained at the scene to report damage.
