Police responded to a crash late Thursday morning in which a vehicle ended up on the sidewalk.
First responders were called to the scene of the crash around 11:30 a.m. where they found a gray Oldsmobile on the sidewalk on North Hanover Street between King and High streets with the vehicle’s back end against Hanover Street Laundry.
The vehicle appeared to have damage to its passenger side and was resting on top of a street sign.
Although two Goodwill ambulances responded to the scene, it could not be determined if anyone was injured in the crash.
Reports from the scene indicated that the Oldsmobile struck the back of a fire truck and somehow ended up on the sidewalk, eventually backing into the laundromat. Police have not yet confirmed the reports and said they were unable to immediately provide information on the crash.
Officers are continuing to investigate.
Police shut down North Hanover Street between High Street and King Street for more than an hour.
Responding to the scene in addition to Pottstown Police were Pottstown Fire Department, West End Fire Police and Goodwill Ambulance.
