A Walton County fire truck rolled over while returning from a call during Wednesday morning’s inclement weather.
The Walton County Fire Rescue truck crashed on Center Hill Church Road near Emmett Still Road, fire Capt. Jeff Allen said.
The driver was transported to Clearview Regional Medical Center for minor injuries, where he was treated and released.
Allen said the truck was returning to Station 3 in Walnut Grove. The truck sustained major damage.
The crash caused a traffic backup in the area.
Local emergency agencies have been busy during the severe weather. The Loganville and Gwinnett County fire departments responded to a house fire in the 4000 block of Winchester Way Southwest due to a lightning strike at 9:42 a.m.
Walton County Fire Rescue has ramped up staffing as severe weather is expected throughout the day Wednesday.
