At around 1707 last evening, there was a crash at Route 306 and Ralph Blvd (Town of Ramapo, Rockland County, NY). 41 year old Spring Valley Fire Department Chief driving a 2017 Chevrolet and a 52 year old Spring Valley resident driving a 2016 Toyota were involved. The crash occurred when the Fire Chief’s vehicle driving southbound on Route 306 enroute to a fire in Spring Valley, collided with the Toyota. The Toyota was also going south on Route 306 and was attempting to turn left onto Ralph Blvd. Upon striking the Toyota the chief’s vehicle struck a telephone pole before going down an embankment. The fire chief was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by Spring Hill Ambulance with head and shoulder pain. The other driver was not injured. KTIYP’s.
