FDNY RIG CRASH IN QUEENS – 1 CIVILIAN INJURED

FOREST HILLS, QUEENS — One person was injured after an FDNY fire truck and another car collided in Forest Hills on Tuesday night, authorities said.

The fire truck crashed into a 2010 Nissan about 10:30 p.m. on 108th Street between 69th Road and Jewel Avenue, according to police and a bystander, who shared video of the crash’s aftermath with Patch.

The driver of the Nissan was brought to Elmhurst Hospital; a police spokesperson said the person’s injuries were not life-threatening.

“If FDNY was involved in the incident no injuries to members were reported at the time,” a Fire Department spokesperson wrote in an email responding to Patch’s request for comment.
