At approximately 11:30 AM today Cook’s Community Volunteer Fire Department was responding to a vehicle fire on I-485 near Harris Boulevard. During this time the members of the department were involved in a single vehicle accident which resulted in the apparatus rolling over. Both members were transported to local hospitals for their injuries and have subsequently been released.
At this time, we want to thank the community for their thoughts and prayers during this event. We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to local departments who volunteered their services and helped us to get back in service. We are truly blessed that all injuries were minor and our crew was being watched over.
