DETROIT RESPONDING ENGINE LOSES CONTROL – STRIKES CARS AT GAS STATION (VIDEO)

DETROIT (WWJ) — A Detroit fire truck was on its way to a fire on Detroit’s east side Monday night when it reportedly slammed into vehicles at a gas station.

The truck was near the intersection of Outer Drive and Dequindre when it lost control and slammed into at least two vehicles, before smashing into a utility pole and bringing down power lines outside a BP gas station, according to a report from WDIV in Detroit.

It was not clear what caused the crash or where the truck was headed on the call.

There were reportedly no major injuries, though firefighters were being checked out by medics on the scene.

Video shows a silver sedan smashed up and the utility pole on top of it.
