An Oklahoma City fire engine was involved in a crash on Interstate 44 on Wednesday morning.
About 8 a.m., Engine 14 was headed south on westbound I-44 near NW 10 when another driver rear-ended a vehicle behind it, which pushed that vehicle into the back of the fire engine, Battalion Chief Benny Fulkerson said.
One person in one of the vehicles was taken to a local hospital. The person’s injuries and condition were not released.
No firefighters were hurt in the crash, and the rig sustained damage only to the tailboard, Fulkerson said.
